Alias M&M were the first other travellers we met. They arrived in San Pedro de Atacama coming from Bolivia and helped us regaining our positive attitudea towards travelling after a difficult start. They are travelling through (South)america for two years in a cool red Toyota named Trudi.
Alias m&m waren die ersten anderen Reisenden, die wir trafen. Sie gaben uns wieder Hoffnung, dass das Reisen nach der Anfangsphase und manchem Autoproblemchen auch schoen und entspannend sein kann. Sie reisen zwei Jahre lang mit ihrem Landcruiser Trudi durch (Sued)amerika.

A big american car for real guys ... making gas station owners happy .... and so much space in their cabin that Sabine and Olli managed to travel through whole America from North to South. We met them first in La Paz and then by chance again near Antofogasta, joining them spontaneously to San Pedro. Hopefully we meet again on the long way South.
Ein großes amerikanisches Auto für 'echte Männer'- wie Olli so schön sagt-, mit dem sie viele Tankstellenbesitzer glücklich machen. Sie haben auch wahnsinnig viel Platz in ihrer Kabine, mit der die beiden sogar durch ganz Amerika (Nord nach Süd) gereist sind. Zum ersten Mal trafen wir sie in La Paz und dann zufällig wieder in der Nähe von Antofagasta, was zur Folge hatte, das wir spontan unsere Route änderten und mit nach San Pedro de Atacama fuhren. Hoffentlich treffen wir sie nochmal auf dem langen Weg nach Süden.

Robin was at the Hotel Oberland camping site in Bolivia with us. We did an excoursion to the jungle and in the mountains together and coincidently cought up in Antofagasta, Chile, again. He is our special friend who we always seem to have strange experiences with: bumping into an accident, his engine explodes... We still like him very much and stay in touch. He's travelling South America, the States and maybe Canada with his parents and/or other travellers.
Robin war zeitgleich mit uns auf dem Campingplaty des Hotel Oberland in Bolivien. Wir machten gemeinsam Ausflüge in den Jungle und die Berge und trafen uns zufällig nochmal in Antofagasta, Chile. Er ist unser spezieller Freund, mit dem wir anscheinend immer wieder in schwierige Situationen geraten: eine Unfallstelle und ein geplatzter Motor. Wir mögen ihn trotzdem noch sehr und bleiben in Kontakt. Er bereist Südamerika, Amerika und evtl. noch Kanada mit seinen Eltern und/oder anderen reisenden.

We met Yvonne and Raphael in Cusco, Peru, from where they joined us to Maccu Piccu and we dearly hope to meet them again on your way, would be great. They are both Swiss travelling South America with their Toyota Landcruiser. Please note that their website requires a password.
Wir trafen Yvonne und Raphael in Cusco, Peru, von wo aus sie mit uns zum Maccu Piccu fuhren und wir hoffen sehr sie nochmals zu treffen, würden uns sehr freuen. Sie sind beide Schweizer und bereisen Südamerika mit ihrem Toyota Landcruiser. Ihre Website kann nur mit einem Passwort geöffnen werden.

Daniel travellels through allmost the whole world, already finished Africa before we met him in Cusco, Peru. Together with Yvonne and Raphael we made the trip to Machu Picchu.
Daniel bereist nahezu die gesamte Welt, wobei er Afrika schon hinter sich gelassen hatte als wir ihn in Cuso, Peru, trafen. Zusammen mit Yvonne und Raphael sind wir hoch zum Maccu Picchu.

Two Germans we met the first time in La Paz at the workshop of Ernesto Hug, then they have seen us by chance in Copacabana (however we didn't see them) and finally we met again by chance on a road near Putre, Chile. It's such a small world! They are travelling with a Land Rover - and a motorbike as a "backup" attached at the rear....
Zwei deutsche, die wir zum ersten Mal in Ernesto Hug's Werkstatt in La Paz trafen. Zufällig hatten die beidne uns dann in Copacabana gesehen, wie wir später erfahren haben. Schließlich war es abermals Zufall dass wir Sie beim Fahren in der Nähe von Putre, Chile getroffen hatten. Die Welt ist so klein! Die beiden reisen mit einem Land Rover - und ein einem Motorrad welches als "backup" hinten an das Auto befestigt ist ...

A brand new KTM Adventure, two young Germans from Munich and a long way down to Ushuaia .... with two surfboards attached to the motorbilke! We had such a romantic Christmas Eve with them in the brilliant gourmet fast food restaurant "Riconomico" in Valparaiso. So much fun!
Eine nagelneu KTM Adventure, zwei junge Deutsche aus München und ein langer Weg in den Süden nach Ushuaia ... mit zwei Surfbrettern am Motorrad! Wir hatten ein unglaublich romantisches Weihnachten in der Gourmet-Pommesbude "Riconomico" in Valparaiso! War sehr, sehr lustig!

Right at the border to Chile we met this very lovely and funny Swiss couple. They are travelling with a cool Land Rover for one year and have the luxury of a large cabin with a fridge, freezer, portable oven and even a lemon squeezer! Made us so, so envy ... however we are faster!
Kurz vor der Grenze nach Chile haben wir dieses nette und lustige Pärchen aus der Schweiz getroffen. Die beiden reisen für ein Jahr mit einem coolen Land Rover und haben den Luxus eines Kühlschranks, Gefriefachs, portabler Backofen und sogar einer Zitronenpresse! Hat uns sooo neidisch gemacht. Aber wir sind schneller!

We met on the ferry from Isla Chiloe to Chaiten where we unexpectedly got stuck for a whole night.They mange to pack all their stuff on one bike. They have four months to explore Southamerica like that. Respect on that!
Wir trafen sie auf der Fähre von der Isla Chiloe nach Chaiten, wo wir unerwarteterweise eine ganze nacht lang festsaßen. Sie schaffen es alle Habseligkeiten auf einem Motarrad unterzubringen. Sie haben vor vier Monate so zu reisen. Respekt!
